Dave Smith - Director
There is no questioning his passion to take the Buccleuch on a journey in the pursuit of genuine quality. With Dave at the helm we have resigned ourselves to the fact that there will always be a new challenge and another mountain to climb. The man is driven, focused and dedicated. The words, eccentric, maverick and single-minded are bandied around. He (alone) rejects them all. We say he is in denial. Another of the many "Born again Bikers" and by all accounts absolutely loving it, grinning from ear to ear! |

Clint Smith - Director
Mr. Good Guy, Mr. Nice Guy, Mr. Fix-it Guy, Mr. Support Guy, Mr. Organiser Guy. A man for all seasons and plays good rugby too. One of the staff said "he is everybody's favourite" and he now gets mocked unmercifully about it. A passionate biker with a wealth of knowledge of the area and growing. |

Polly Smith - Director
Our graphics/marketing/research/IT/projects man who oversees the Coachman Bar and gets thrown in to any and every area when needed, you never know where he will pop up. Also plays a good game of rugby and is the newest member to the clan of motorcyclists! |

Yvonne (Jonesy) Smith
Our Rock of Gibraltar. Probably your first and last contact with the Hotel. You've just got to feel sorry for this lady being married to Dave - for so long! Very efficient and dependable. Recently passed her motorcycle license and loves grabbing her few moments of freedom to let her hair down and don her leathers. |

Lara Smith
Our multi-award winning Exec Chef. An ongoing push, pull relationship with Dave and Clint resulting in some really innovative food creations. A bundle of energy, absolutely dedicated and committed to the vision of the Buccleuch. Being a smart lady she just allows Dave and Clint to think that they are pushing! |

Pat Adams
Our little "Angel" at Reception. Sweet, kind and thoughtful. We will leave it to you to work our why the word "Angel" is in inverted commas!! A wonderful lady and a great character. Angel my foot! |

John Turner
Our Head Barman, definitely of the "Olde School". He would see this statement as a compliment with his wealth of experience. When he is busy his head goes forward, his shoulders go backward and he charges around at 100mph. An occasional reference to his moustache and a walrus have been made, all in good humour of course. To keep his hand in John serves breakfast on a Sunday morning. |

Richard Ross
Jumping Jack Flash but professional. Horrible taste in music, but professional. Bounces off the walls after big intakes of caffeine and sugar but professional. Reliable, kind and caring - but this is one crazy man. Our head waiter, both respected and knowledgeable, leads the team from the front. |

Anna Grace
Professional, willing and always happy (how does she do it) dancing, horses, fire-fighting are all her great loves. Don't be surprised if her buzzer goes off and she sprints away mid-service just adds to the Buccleuch Experience. Being senior waitress she sets a high standard for her peers to follow, but always with a smile. |

Dale MacKenzie
His hair is his pride and passion getting trimmed weekly but that's certainly not to overlook the pair of shoes the man has for every day of the month. Imelda Marcos watch out! |

Esther Sproat
Quiet, dependable and reliable. Happily married to a giant of a man ironically called Willie who occasionally helps out at the hotel with woodwork and other DIY jobs. We are so fortunate to have a housekeeper of such calibre. |

"Big Thomas" Murray
Coming from Dundee it is no surprise that he is often compared to a great Arbroath Smokie (without the smoke). Speaks a strange dialect that even Scotsmen struggle to understand. Very, very sick (but funny) sense of humour. A monument to the Buccleuch. For every practical joke you can be assured that Thomas is behind it somewhere. |

Joan Bailey
Joan is very much part of the team. She is in every Friday and Saturday night and Sunday lunch plucking sweet melodies on her harp. A lovely lady with a huge talent. We are so fortunate to have her on board. |

Celina Mroch
A bundle of energy who carries out 2 roles at the Buccleuch with great efficiency. Kitchen porter by night and house keeper by day. Just as well she has so much energy. A lovely lady with a great sense of humour. |

Janusz Barzowski
A great chef with delicate hands and great taste buds. Janusz has been responsible for many of our chef's creations. He loves a good debate and has far reaching views on a number of topics. |

Stuart Jack
Gung ho! Well, that is putting it in its mildest form. Great sense of humour if occasionally a little pointed - be warned! A great raconteur. Returned back to the Buccleuch Team after a short hiatus to take over as manager of the Coachman Bar. |

April Gault
No idle hands for our April. Still at school but hard working at the Buccleuch and already well experienced in good food and service. |

David Gardner
We don't take breakfasts lightly and accordingly David runs breakfasts 5 days of the week the "Real Buccleuch way". A well experience chef that you can rely on to get your breakfast just right. |

Katie Litt
Along with David, Katie is our dedicated breakfast waitress, she is our most recent addition to the team and we are thrilled with her humour and easy going manner. She has acclimatised to 6 o'clock bright and cheeries. I don't know how she manages it. I'm sure that she will have extended her passion for good service by the time you read this. |
