"We dined in the Buccleuch on the way home from London having visited Moffat many times. What we found in this hotel was fantastic. The decor is amazing and really draws on the heritage of the hotel but in a modern and interesting way. The food was great with fantastic variety on the menu. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful going above and beyond as our daughter is diabetic and carb counting can be difficult. We will definitely return to eat her again soon - not to be missed."

The fantastic photography you see in all the rooms and many of the public areas in the hotel are captured and framed by our very own talented Moffat photagrapher, Jonathan Cosens.

When we say local, you can’t get much closer! His gallery is right behind the hotel. Most of the photographs you see dotted around are Jonathans and are for sale. If any of them interest you please have a chat to us at reception.

Jonathan is also more than happy and would actually love you to pop round and visit his gallery. He, and his wife Sandie are a lovely easy going couple and easy to chat to. You may even end up having a discussion about bespoke shoots for yourself, family, friends or even motorcycle. He’s a passionate motorcyclist himself and knows just how to capture you and your pride and joy in a still you’ll be proud of!
