When we say we’re dog-friendly, it’s not just a claim, it’s an enthusiastic commitment. In fact, we go above and beyond to ensure our furry guests feel right at home. We have our very own resident doggy who embodies our dedication to our four-legged visitors:
Blue, Dave’s Sidekick: Always by Dave’s side, whether it’s cruising on his motorcycle or simply enjoying a lazy day at the hotel. Blue exemplifies the unwavering bond between a human and their canine confidant.

GUEST GUIDELINES
COMMON AREAS: Well-mannered dogs of all shapes and sizes are embraced here. To maintain harmony and for everyone’s comfort, please keep your pup leashed in common areas. Let’s prevent any surprise serenades while you step out. All dogs have had different experiences in their lives and we have to appreciate that some may not enjoy another dog bouncing towards him/her.
ROOMS: We ask that you kindly be the judge, in knowing your own dog as to whether or not they can be left in the room unsupervised. You are the best person to know if your doggy may get anxious and a) cause any damage to the room, which we both don’t want b) bark to the point it may impact on other guests experiences while you are away. If you are confident, so are we.
DAMAGE RESPONSIBILITY: Accidents happen, that is life and we won’t get upset. However, you are responsible for damages caused by your furry friend. Please report any incidents before check-out – we’re here to help. Please be advised that any damage or mess that incurs a cost will be charged to the guest. We simply want to return anything back, or near to, it’s original state and we hope this never happens.
RESTAURANT ETIQUETTE: Well-behaved dogs are welcomed in the restaurant. To ensure a harmonious dining experience, please keep your furry friend close and tethered. Enjoy a meal with your pup present! If you feel comfortable leaving your well-behaved dog in the room while you dine, please do so at your comfort if you have the trust. It is possible that we may stagger the number of dogs in the restaurant at any one time so you may not get your preferred time slot. I am sure you will understand this.
CLEAN-UP RESPONSIBILITY (Rooms | Garden | Moffat Town): Please show your love as a pet parent by promptly cleaning up after your furry friend. Our facilities are meant for all guests to enjoy, whether they walk on two legs or four. We encourage you to make the most of your walks and we appreciate that a messy dog is a happy one. We kindly ask that you give your dog a good clean and rub down before going to your room. When using the hotel grounds or surrounding areas please use a dog poo bag for any fouling. Dog poo bags are also available on request at reception.
‘MOFFAT’ THE DOG-FRIENDLY PARADISE: Explore scenic walking trails with your furry companion. Seek advice for the best tails to wag from our friendly staff. Please respect our local community and act responsibly when you visit. Farm animals and wonderful wildlife are our neighbours. Refer to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code for guidance on enjoying the outdoors responsibly with your dog.
